Writing a cheque in French

Here is an example of a French cheque. When writing figures, remember that the French use a comma rather than a decimal point, e.g. eighty euros fifty would be written €80,50.

On the other hand, 'thousands' are separated with a full stop, e.g. eight thousand euros would be written €8.000.

To ask, "who do I make it payable to?" you can say "à l'ordre de qui j'écris mon chèque?".
